Integration Logistics is known for its highly integrated solutions that include services beyond traditional access – video and fire. The company is certified in information technology, voice/telecommunications services and boasts an impressive portfolio of clients, according to a release. Integration Logistics co-founders Ken Schafenberg and John Smolinski will lead the new Integrated Systems Division at Protection 1, bringing all 40 of their employees along, the release further noted.
Also cited as a reason for the acquisition was the customer service focus of Integration Logistics in an industry not always known for such qualities when it comes to commercial customers.
Integration Logistics has installed sophisticated surveillance systems at the University of Delaware and the Cleveland Browns stadium complex. The UD system has been credited with street crime arrests in the Newark area.
The two top executives of Integration Logistics supervised security at MBNA. It was one of a number of companies that were formed locally by former MBNA employees. The credit card bank is now part of Bank of America.
One of the largest of the spin-offs, the Freeh Group recent merged with a Philadelphia law firm. The Wilmington firm was founded by former MBNA executive and FBI Director Louis Freeh.
