The Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control has revoked the commercial crab license of Warren A. Brady, 58, of Middletown, following a series of convictions starting in 2007 for violating the state’s commercial shellfish regulations.

Since June 13, 2007, Brady has been charged with at least 244 violations of shellfish regulations, including multiple counts of failing to tend his commercial pots in 2007, 2008 and 2010. He agreed to a plea deal earlier this year on his most recent violations after having been arraigned Sept. 27, 2010 on 104 counts of failure to tend crab pots.

Brady, holder of Delaware Commercial Crab License #142, was notified by David Saveikis, director, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife, that his license was revoked for a two-year period from August 1 through July 31, 2014. He was ordered to surrender his license during the revocation period and informed by DNREC that the license could not be sold, transferred or used by an alternate.
