Discount carrier Megabus will make a stop on the University of Delaware campus. 
The university said UD Transportation Services reached an agreement that will allow Megabus to stop at Lot 6 on the Laird Campus on the northern end edge of UD.
Megabus has service to New York , Baltimore and Washington, D.C. Fares available at the company’s website.
The “curb stop” buses are a frequent site along Interstate 95 and the move by the carrier brought hopes of other stops in the Newark area and Wilmington.
The bus company sells tickets on the Internet and offers a few tickets at $1, creating an auction atmosphere. Buses also offer Wifi Internet service.
Wilmington has been stop for other bus carriers, but has also seen one carrier shut down by federal safety regulators.
Megabus operates in the United States, Canada and Europe.
The service will begin on Sept. 19th.
