Harrington man shot, killed as SUV rams patrol car

Delaware State Police are investigating an incident Saturday night in the Harrington that resulted in a trooper fatally wounding a man who rammed a patrol car.
Police said that around 9:30 p.m., Angel A. Feliciano, 42, Dusty Branch Lane in the the Pine Ridge development in Harrington, called the mobile crisis hotline stating that he was suicidal and armed with a weapon.
After troopers arrived at the residence, they found Feliciano in the driver’s seat of a Chevrolet Tahoe in the driveway of the home.
Troopers reported that the Tahoe accelerated and made a U-turn traveling eastbound, and entered Dusty Branch Lane.
A trooper in a marked patrol vehicle followed Feliciano as he entered Thornwood Drive. He again made a U turn and according to the report aimed his SUV for the patrol car. The trooper jumped out of vehicle and the Tahoe hit the cruiser at high speed, disabling it.
The trooper fired his weapon, striking Feliciano who was located in the driver’s seat. After the initial impact, the Tahoe pushed the patrol vehicle approximately 60 feet before coming to a stop.

Angel A. Feliciano was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was turned over to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The trooper, who had been with the State Police, was not injured.
The investigation into the case continues.

  1. I live In pine ridge and my mother saw it go down and so did my father so I’m just stating my opinion that what happened was horrible , I knew angle and he was not the kind of guy to have a weapon and i honestly don’t even think he rammed the police car but I’m just stating what I think .
