An emergency call made by a 7-year-old child may have saved her mother’s life.
Newark Police reported on Thursday at 1:15 p.m., the Newark 911 Center received a 911 call from the child who reported that her mother was not acting right and needed help for a medical emergency. The call was immediately transferred to the New Castle County Fireboard. Newark Police, New Castle County Paramedics and Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder went to the first block of Thompson Circle and found the mother unconscious.
The woman was transported to Christiana Hospital where she made a full recovery and was released. The nature of the problem was not immediately disclosed
