Fashion retailer Chico’s will open its store in Christiana Mall today. The store is near Victoria’s Secret.
The Florida retailer joins rivals Coldwater Creek and Talbot’s in offering apparel for women, primarily in the 30-plus age group. The Florida retailer already has a Delaware stores in Greenville and Rehoboth, as well as a location across the line in the Chadds Ford area.category
It operates more than 1,000 stores under the Chico’s White House Black Market and Soma names. A White House Black Market store is already on the tenant roster at Christiana Mall.
The Chico’s opening comes as work continues on a larger 10,000-square-foot Apple Store and a retail store for arch-rival Microsoft. Also coming to the mall property in 2014 is sporting goods superstore Cabela’s.
