WSFS Financial Corp., parent company of WSFS Bank, today announced that it has been presented the annual Gallup Great Workplace Excellence in Leadership Award.
The Great Workplace Award honors organizations whose associate engagement results demonstrate they have the most productive and engaged workforces in the world. WSFS was formally presented the award during the 2012 Gallup Summit in Omaha, Neb.

Turner, CEO of WSFS Bank. “Each associate, from the support areas to the front lines, contributes directly to the growth of our organization by fully embracing and living our core values of integrity, service, transparency and desire to improve.”
The Gallup Great Workplace Excellence in Leadership Award recognizes companies with 500 to 1,000 associates, whose leader or leaders have driven superior engagement performance. In qualifying for the recognition, during the most recent Gallup survey that associates take annually to measure engagement levels, WSFS achieved a 97 percent response rate and a 4.34 grand mean in at least half the company’s workgroups, well above the minimum thresholds of 80 percent and 4.15, respectively.
Gallup also gave consideration to WSFS’ talent development programs and best practices, which have also contributed to WSFS Bank’s accomplishments in its Associate engagement and Customer advocacy journey.
