Amazon.com announced an education program that targets those seeking two-year degrees or technical and vocational certifications.
Known as Career Choice, the program is unique because it pays fees and tuition in advance. Also, many employee tuition reimbursement programs are targeted toward four-year degrees.
The program should be a drawing card as the company hires associates for is new fulfillment center in Middletown, Del.
The site will employ upwards of 1,000 year around and a much larger number during holiday periods.
