Investors are adding another $150 million to Bloom Energy Corp.’s current fundraising, VentureWire has learned, making the privately held fuel cell company one of the highest valued pure-play companies, public or private, in the clean-technology segment.
The Series G round, which had a close last year of $150 million and would now be double that, has a pre-money valuation of $2.7 billion, according to an email from the marketer of the deal to potential investors that was seen by VentureWire. The company is offering shares at $25.76 each.
