Bank of Hawaii www.boh.com is looking for credit card staff in Delaware, based on listings on local job boards that show two openings. There should be no shortage of applicants, especially if they could throw in a yearly trip to headquarters in Honolulu.
The bank has been in operation since 1997, serving Hawaii and a few Pacific islands. It ‘s Hawaii’s largest locally owned bank and is incorporated in Delaware.
Shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
The bank made a number of acquisitions over the years in areas that included financial institutions on the mainland, but has since sold off holdings and focused on its core market. It operated a small credit card in the Phoenix area at one point.
Credit cards are becoming attractive for banks as regulatory requirements on fees limit profits. -Doug Rainey
