Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band’s 2012 Wrecking Ball World Tour will pay a visit to Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia as well as well as baseball shrine Wrigley Field in Chicago. The band has booked three nights at MetLife Stadium (Meadowlands) in New Jersey. There is some travel time between the Wrigley and the possibility that another show could be squeezed in, since the Phillies are on the road most of that week.
According to the Springsteen website, BackStreets.com, the stadium segment of the tour kicks off in mid-August and concludes about a month later.
This will come after after a largely indoor venue tour that included the Wells Fargo Center. In late spring and summer, Springsteen is in Europe for a series of concert dates.
The stop in Philly is on Sept. 2. Tickets go on sale on Friday April 21st reportedly through Comcasttix.com.
And in case you did not attend the Wells Fargo show or missed the debut of his latest album, Wrecking Ball, here’s a YouTube video of We Take Care of Our Own, a tough, but ultimately hopeful look at the current economic and social picture.
