Newark Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on April 28th, 2012 at approximately 4 p.m. at the Cigarette City in College Square Shopping Center.
A white male suspect armed with a shotgun and wearing a ski mask entered the store. The suspect pointed the gun at the two female clerks and demanded money.
After receiving an undisclosed amount of currency the suspect fled the store to an awaiting vehicle occupied by an unknown suspect in the passenger seat. The vehicle then fled the parking lot toward Marrows Road.
Neither clerk was injured.
The suspect is described as a white male, 5 feet 8 to 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He was described as wearing blue jeans, a red hooded sweatshirt, black gloves and a grey ski mask with black stripes covering his face.
The vehicle, described as a dark colored pickup truck, is possibly a Dodge Dakota.
