A Delaware consultant has written a how-to book on her profession and how small firms can succeed in the current environment.

Devona Williams, Ph.D., navigates what a release calls the  crowded and turbulent waters of the consultancy business in her new book, The Intentional Consultant: How to grow a sustainable consulting practice. Drawing upon her 22 years of small business experience, Williams shares the secrets to beginning and sustaining a consultancy, as well as useful strategies and tips for any small business owner.

Although Williams developed the idea for the book almost a decade ago, she was inspired to put pen to paper after her business continued to flourish through the current economic recession. “I realized that I could share with other entrepreneurs, consultants and would-be consultants my experiences and learnings from running a successful business during tough economic times,” she said. Williams shares successes in her new book, as well as pitfalls to avoid.
