Norman’s Hallmark acquires eight locations, including three in area

Norman’s Hallmark, the nation’s largest independent owner of Gold Crown Hallmark stores, has acquired eight additional locations in four states.

The acquisition. which did not name the seller or sellers, included stores near Christiana Mall, Prices Corner west of Wilmington, and Elkton, MD.

Other locations were in Freehold, Moorestown, Cherry Hill, NJ, and Moosic and Easton, PA.; The Newtown, PA-based greeting card and gift specialty retailer recently opened a new store in Phoenixville, PA.

The nearly 80-year-old company has almost 70 locations, growing from a single store in Trenton, NJ.

Said company CEO Howard Henschel, “Every Norman’s Hallmark is a true ‘neighborhood’ store and an integral part of that local community,” said Henschel. “Employees are the driving force behind our success and are committed to creating an inspirational and seamless shopping environment for guests. At our latest store additions, customers will see the same friendly faces providing the same great service they have come to expect. They will also see some changes as these stores are modernized and expanded with new merchandise.”

Norman’s offers a line of Hallmark products, cards for every occasion, and Keepsake Ornaments, along with fashion and fashion accessories, books, stationery, games, home décor, specialty candy, and gourmet foods. The company maintains supplier partnerships with household-name brands like Vera Bradley, Lenox, Yankee Candle, Life is Good, Willow Tree, Squishmallows, PuraVida, Godiva, etc.

In addition to new store acquisitions and openings, Norman’s Hallmark has expanded or renovated four locations over the past year – with additional projects in progress or the pipeline. The company also offers online shopping through normanshallmark.com and Ship From Store and Buy Online Pick Up In Store options via the Hallmark ecommerce website: hallmark.com.
