Hotel du Pont rolls out new menu

 The Hotel du Pont announced changes to its Lobby Lounge and Green Room Bar,  as well as enhancements in dining options.

While maintaining its historic appearance,  there is a fresher look in the Green Room and new menus, a release stated.  Offerings include new dishes and mainstays from  Executive Chef Keith Miller.

The café, located off the lobby of the hotel launched a new menu featuring more casual fare, including new breakfast and an all-day dining options.

“The Cafe provides the high quality found throughout the  Hotel du Pont  in a more approachable setting,” the release stated.

Green Room breakfast and lunch menus were upgraded.  Specialties highlight regional farms and seasonal flavors while paying homage to long-time classics, the release stated.

The menu also offers healthier and a twist on classic sandwiches and salads for lunch. The dinner menu features steaks and sides.

 “Our new menus were developed to highlight our focus on local and regional flavors and ingredients, including partnerships with Cassaday Farms in Monroeville,  NJ and King Farms in Cochranville, PA. Each innovative dish is developed and executed with the quality and elegance you expect from the Green Room but with a modern and approachable interpretation,” Miller stated.

 The Lobby Lounge is open throughout the day with cocktail service and lighter bites. The new menu includes a twist on classic cocktails, including a Brandywine Manhattan consisting of Bulleit Bourbon, Port Wine and Brandy.

The hotel is managed by PM Hospitality, an affiliate of the Buccini/Pollin Group. The hotel is part of a major renovation of the DuPont Building by Buccini/Pollin, which purchased the downtown Wilmington landmark.
