Area restaurants are joining Christiana Care Health System to celebrate Wear Red Day, Friday, February 2.
Wearing red and dining in at one of the participating restaurants to receive a free heart-healthy menu item of the restaurant’s choice. Tell your server that you’re wearing red to celebrate Wear Red Day, a release stated.
You can also shop for a special heart-healthy gift. Edible Arrangements, located at 4563 Kirkwood Highway and at 824 N. Market Street, will celebrate Wear Red Day by offering 20 percent off any product in the store to anyone wearing red and making a purchase on Wear Red Day.
Go Red for Women is a national campaign of the American Heart Association to promote women’s heart health and heart-healthy living. Both men and women who are wearing red are eligible to receive the free menu item.
