No 2018 opening date has been announced for a Christiana location for Main Event Entertainment.
Spokesperson Marilyn Perkins said the location at the Christiana Fashion Center near the mall is in the early stages of construction. A spring 2018 opening was indicated on the website
The location will feature state-of-the-art bowling, multi-level laser tag, a high ropes adventure course, billiards and a games gallery featuring more than 100 interactive video games.
Dining options will include a full-service American-fare restaurant, specialty pizzas in an Italian-themed café, and a bar.
Founded in 1998, Dallas-based Main Event Entertainment has 38 centers across the United States serving more than 20 million guests annually.
The company currently has five new centers under construction with several more in the pipeline for 2018 across the East, Midwest and South.
The company focuses on mid-sized markets and has not built a location in the Delaware Valley. The closest Main Event is in the Pittsburgh area.
Main Event is part of an Australian company.
The first phases of the Fashion Center have been completed, with a roster of retailers, restaurants and service businesses moving into the complex.
