Direct Energy, the electric retail supplier contracted by the state of Delaware, celebrated its first anniversary serving Delawareans and its partnership with the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware.

To mark the occasion,  Direct Energy employees arrived at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware dressed in superhero capes and accompanied by several local legislators.

Direct Energy prepared and served dinner and “lightning bolt” flavored ice cream and delivered a corporate gift from Direct Energy to show their support for families with seriously ill or injured children receiving medical treatment at nearby hospitals.

The team presented a $13,000 check to Pamela Cornforth, CEO of the Ronald McDonald House, as part of an ongoing partnership where Direct Energy makes a  cash donation for each Delaware resident who switches their energy supplier to Direct Energy.
