Truck runs into Newark-area business

Delaware State Police investigated a crash that sent a truck into  a building.

The accident  occurred at  3:49 p.m., Saturday when Jane W. Ndegwa, 51 of Washington, drove a commercial box truck into a  wall  at Extra Space Storage, 121 Ruthar Drive, east of Newark.

The truck pulled forward and accelerated over the sidewalk and struck the building with its front bumper.

Ndegwa was treated at the scene. She was then transported to the Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She was cited for careless driving.
