Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) crews were on area roads as rain and snow started falling Thursday morning.

Temperatures dropped to near freezing in New Castle County and later changed to snow. Snow was not sticking to roads as of 7 a.m.

However, little accumulation was reported, with roads remaining largely clear in many areas, with snow mainly sticking to grass and windshields.

As of 10:15 a.m., the sun was appearing in some areas.

The Delaware Department of Transportation warned that low temperatures could lead to icing on bridges.
