D.P. Dough will reopen  this fall in the Park ‘n Shop Plaza on South Main Street in Newark, formerly Elkton Road.

The long-time calzone  restaurant moved off  East Main Street in 2014, citing traffic and congestion in the area. D.P. Doughs also offer tater tots, wings and cheese bread.

“By avoiding the East Main Street congestion, we’ll be able to deliver your calzones even hotter and faster. Of course, we’ll still have tables, too,” the restaurant reported on its Facebook page.

“Coming soon signs went up in the windows earlier this week, and we’ve cleared out the tanning bays left by the prior tenant. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be working hard to finalize the interior design and secure the required health and building permits from the city, then onward to construction,” the post noted.

D.P. Doughs are located in college towns on the East Coast and as far west as Arizona.
