BNY Mellon Wealth Management promoted Peter Wilson to wealth manager providing wealth and investment planning services for the firm’s clients in Delaware.

Wilson, who for three years served as associate wealth manager at the firm, previously worked with the asset servicing business of BNY Mellon, the wealth manager’s parent company. Wilson, originally joined BNY Mellon in 2010 when it acquired PNC Global Investment Services.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware.

Commission for Women names four to Hall of Fame

The Delaware Commission for Women will add four   female leaders to the Hall of Fame of Delaware Women at its annual induction ceremony on March 22.

This year’s nominees have each made substantial and meaningful contributions throughout their careers to improve the lives of countless Delawareans. They are retired Delaware Supreme Court Justice Carolyn Berger; State Representative Debra Heffernan; Dr. Janice Nevin, president and CEO of Christiana Care Health System; and the late Kendall M. Wilson, the first executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Delaware.

Chosen from a list of nominees submitted by individuals and organizations from across the state, the inductees were selected based on their remarkable careers and the significance of their work. To date, 142 women have been inducted to this prestigious group.

Gunnip & Company adds manager

 Gunnip & Company announced the addition of Theodore A Carlson, MST.

Carlson joined the firm as a manager in the tax department. He brings more than 30 years of diverse experience. His focus has been working with trusts, estate and gift tax strategies and plan execution.

He has a specialization in the detailed analysis of trust documents and wills in order to file appropriate Federal and State income tax returns. He can assist with annual and lifetime gifting strategies, as well as providing his experience to develop detailed plans to effectively exercise Non-Qualified Stock Option and Incentive Stock Options.

Bryn Mawr Bank names SVP

 Bryn Mawr Bank Corporation announced the appointment of Neil Orechiwsky, as Senior Vice President, Managing Director of Capital Markets. Orechiwsky will be based at BMT’s facilities in Devon, Pennsylvania, and will report to Michael Harrington, Executive Vice President, and Chief Financial Officer. 

Orechiwsky joins BMT from First Niagara Bank, where he served as the Managing Director of Derivative Products and Foreign Exchange for their Capital Markets division. Prior to this, he founded and led the Capital Markets division for Susquehanna Bank where he was responsible for the Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange, and Global Trade Finance business units. He led client advisory services for the Financial Institutions Group at the boutique advisory firm, Chatham Financial. 

Patterson-Schwartz   welcomes Allen

Patterson-Schwartz Real Estate welcomed Cindy Allen to their Brandywine office sales team. A former administrative assistant in the accounting industry,  Allen is licensed in Delaware and is  a member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors.

Howard joins Berkshire Hathaway

 Gail Renulfi, manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach,  Realtors Hockessin-Pike Creek Home Marketing Center, welcomed  Clarissa Howard as a sales associate. “I joined Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach because of their brand presence and integrity,” she said.
