From Friday, January 20 until Sunday, February 5, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant will again offer its steak and Stout menu.
All 12 locations will offer five steaks perfect for pairing with Russian Imperial Stout, and will pour the beer on draft to complement the menu.
In 2015, Men’s Journal named Russian Imperial Stout one of the 101 Best Beers in America; and it earned a silver medal at the 2016 WBC, adding to its medal count:
“Russian Imperial Stout earned its first medal in 2003, and 14 years later, it continues to proudly represent our talented brewer’s thanks to its peerless flavor and their relentless commitment to quality,” says owner and Director of Brewing Operations Mark Edelson. “Nothing sounds better to me on a frozen winter’s night than a hearty steak dinner and a full-bodied stout, and that’s exactly what we’ll serve in honor of Russian Imperial Stout’s continued dominance.”
To pair with the brew, Iron Hill’s chefs will prepare and serve a steak-driven menu that includes:
- New England Clam Chowder
- Iceberg Wedge Salad with Applewood smoked bacon, carrot ribbons, pickled red onion, spent grain croutons and creamy bleu cheese dressing
- Pan-Roasted New York Strip Steak with bacon and smoked cheddar mashed potatoes, wilted spinach, shallot-herb butter and fried onion strings
- Pan-Seared Filet Mignon (8-oz. Angus cut) with parsnip-potato mash, garlicky broccolini and cremini mushroom sauce
- Char-Grilled Hanger Steak with fried brussels sprouts, warm bacon vinaigrette, roasted new potatoes and bleu cheese butter
- Char-Grilled Flank Steak with house-cut parmesan-garlic fries, grilled portobello-Vidalia onion relish and chimichurri
- Red Chile-Rubbed Flat Iron Steak with smoked cheddar mac n cheese, tricolored peppers and onions and chipotle-lime sauce
Iron, founded in Newark, has a dozen locations, including the Newark and Wilmington Riverfront brewpubs.
The 12thlocation, in Huntingdon Valley, PA, opened August 2016.
