Robert Lilley has announced the launch of an unmanned aerial photography business.
Lilley earlier announced he is the first person in Delaware to take and pass the FAA Part 107 Exam for drone aircraft.
The rigorous exam is part of work by the Federal Aviation Administration to regulate the commercial side of the fast-growing industry.
Lilley is an associate with RE/Max in Middletown.
Drone flights have quickly caught as a marketing tool in a real estate industry where online information is a part of the buying decision.
Unmanned aircraft are also being used to assess damage to roofs and other areas and are moving into searches at sea.
A recent test off the Delaware coast demonstrated the ability to bring medical supplies to areas hit by flooding or other disasters
The Delaware River and Bay Authority has been active in drone circles, having co-sponsored a conference in Cape May and testing the use of drones in inspecting the Delaware Memorial Bridge.
