SoDel Concepts names VP

Scott Kammerer, president of SoDel Concepts, announced the promotion of Mike Dickson to vice president of operations for the hospitality company.

Dickinson, who was previously a director of operations for the company, provides another level of support for the general managers and employees who keep the restaurants running and interact with customers on a daily basis.

Dickinson is an example of SoDel Concepts’ quest to promote from within the ranks. He started with SoDel Concepts as a manager of Bluecoast Seafood Grill in Bethany Beach in 2004. He has since worked as general manager of many of the SoDel restaurants. Over the last four years he has served as a director of operations overseeing four of the 9 SoDel restaurants.

Dickinson is a graduate of Muhlenberg College.

M&T Bank VP named

M&T Bank announced that Monty Sayler was appointed administrative vice president and group manager for middle market banking.

Sayler joins M&T Bank from Bank of America, where he most recently served as a senior vice president and middle market lender. In his new role, Sayler will create customized banking solutions for companies in Kent and Sussex Counties in Delaware in addition to the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Sayler earned his Bachelor of Art in Business and Finance from Salisbury University.

Delaware Farm Bureau staff  changes

Delaware Farm Bureau welcomed a new, part-time staff member, Carol Kinsley, who will serve as PR coordinator and editor of the bi-monthly Delaware Farm Bureau News. A long-time employee of American Farm Publications, is a familiar face at county and state Farm Bureau meetings and banquets, having covered them for The Delmarva Farmer newspaper for many years. Kinsley holds a degree in professional writing from the University of Maryland University College.

DFB Executive Director Pam Bakerian announced other recent changes in the support staff at the office in Camden:

Laura Simpson is now foundation manager of Delaware Farm Bureau Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created to build awareness, understanding and positive public perception about Delaware’s farm operations. The Foundation also promotes fresh, local food and sponsors the Ag Education Mobile Classroom. She majored in public relations at University of Maryland and holds a bachelor’s degree from Chesapeake Bible College in Ridgely, Md. Before coming to DFB, she was resource development manager at Delaware Technical Community College.

Heather Kline has been promoted to marketing administrative assistant. She had served as DFB’s interim public relations coordinator since February, and before that was administrative assistant.  Kline has experience as office sales assistant and as a credit coordinator. Following graduation from Delaware Technical and Community College with a degree in communications, she worked for Sussex County Council as newsletter coordinator.

 Berkshire adds Watson

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach, Realtors Bear Office, welcomed Tracy Watson as a Sales Associate. Watson is a member of the New Castle County Board of Realtors.
