The Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA), serving credit unions throughout the four states of Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island, announced the recipients of its 2016 Awards of Excellence during its annual convention banquet Oct. 13 at Mohegan Sun, Uncasville, CT.
Delaware credit unions recently joined the association.
Eight awards were conferred in total: four for excellence in advocacy and four for excellence in social responsibility.
Honored for advocacy were: Delaware Alliance Federal Credit Union, New Castle, DE; Hanscom Federal Credit Union, Bedford, MA; Triangle Credit Union, Nashua, NH; and People’s Credit Union, Middletown, RI.
Earning awards for social responsibility were: DEXSTA Federal Credit Union, Wilmington, DE; RTN Federal Credit Union, Waltham, MA; St. Mary’s Bank Credit Union, Manchester, NH; and Navigant Credit Union, Warwick, RI.
“Excellence in advocacy and commitment to social responsibility are two of the core tenets of the Cooperative Credit Union Association,” said CCUA President Paul Gentile. “We are proud to recognize these credit unions tonight for going above and beyond in promoting a deeper awareness and knowledge of all credit unions by their commitment to advocacy and social responsibility.”
The winners were selected by the CCUA team for the extent and quality of their support to both advocacy and social responsibility.
The Cooperative Credit Union Association in Marlborough, MA, promotes the interests of nearly 200 credit unions located throughout Delaware, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
