Chemours board member on Power 300

The Chemours Company (Chemours) announced that Savoy Magazine has named board member Dr. Curtis J. Crawford to   the Power 300 list of the 2016 Most Influential Black Corporate Directors. Savoy developed this list from extensive research and analysis of African-American leaders who are active on the boards of some of the world’s leading corporations and organizations.

Crawford has been a board member of Chemours since its spin-off in July 2015.  He also serves as the chair of the board’s governance and nomination committee. His leadership has significantly contributed to the organization’s evolution from a division of a large multi-national corporation into a more nimble, entrepreneurial, publicly-traded company.

Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, P.A. (BLS), a certified public accounting and consulting firm with offices in Delaware and Pennsylvania, announced the following promotions.

 Jennifer Huber has been promoted to Senior Accountant.

Huber received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and recently passed all of the parts of the Certified Public Accountant exam. She celebrated her fourth anniversary in June and worked in the firm’s Tax & Small Business department. Jen resides in Wilmington.

Dan Ryan, CPA and Lee Sausen, CPA recently received their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licenses have each been promoted to Staff II Accountant.

Ryan is a Staff II Accountant in the firm’s Accounting & Auditing department and celebrated his 2nd anniversary with BLS in June. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and resides in Pike Creek.

Sausen is a Staff II Accountant in the firm’s Tax & Small Business department and celebrated his 2nd anniversary with BLS in June. He has a Bachelor of Science and a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware and resides in Kennett Square.

Santora CPA Group names tax manager

Santora CPA Group announced that Kevin J. Gobeil, CPA has been promoted to Tax Manager.  He is a 2010 graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.  He worked part time during the 2013 tax season and joined the firm full-time in May 2013.  He received his CPA license from the State of Pennsylvania in January 2013 and the State of Delaware in February 2016.  Gobril a key member of the firm’s Tax Department, as well as a member of the American Institute and Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Downtown Milford director named

The Board of Directors of Downtown Milford, Inc. named Steve Twilley as its new executive director, effective September 1st.

A Milford resident for nearly 30 years, Twilley has an extensive background in non-profit organizational management, public relations, marketing and funds development. He is an active volunteer with and a past president of Second Street Players at Riverfront Theater, located at the heart of downtown Milford, serving on its Board of Directors for more than 15 years. Most recently he served as executive director of the Lewes Senior Center.
Lee Nelson, DMI’s executive director since 2011, retired in July.

Twilley’s primary responsibilities will be to advocate for and build awareness of DMI’s goals and activities, and to work closely with all of DMI’s many partners and stakeholders to build upon the civic, commercial and cultural development of Milford’s Downtown. He is already working with volunteers and merchants on two of DMI’s upcoming fall events: Eat in the Street on Sept. 18 and the Milford International Food Festival on Oct. 9.

Mirzaei  joins  Nanticoke Health Services

Nanticoke Health Services announced the addition of Allen Mirzaei, DPM to its active medical staff. He is board qualified in Foot and Reconstructive/Rearfoot and Ankle Surgery by the American Board of Foot an Ankle Surgery.

Mirzaei graduated from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He completed his Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency with the added credential in Reconstructive Rearfoot/Ankle Surgery (PMSR/RRA) at Drexel College of Medicine/Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia. His professional affiliations include the American Podiatric Medical Association, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine, and the American Professional Wound Care Association.

Lukolic  to  Nanticoke

Nanticoke Physician Network welcomed Ismet Lukolic, MD to its active medical staff.

Lukolic received his Doctor of Medicine from St. George’s University School of Medicine in True Blue, Grenada. He completed his residency and fellowship in gastroenterology at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in New York City.

His professional memberships include the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the Albanian American Medical Society. He is also involved in the New York City Medical Reserve Corps and acts as a volunteer medical officer to the Illyrian Society of Law Enforcement Officers, a fraternity of the NYPD.

Premier Wine and Spirits names general manager

Tim Pettitt has been named General Manager for Premier Wine and Spirits.

Pettit has more than 20 years of experience in retail, customer service and merchandising management.

He is a certified Cicerone (a certification for beer knowledge)  and has visited vineyards in California, Spain and France on multiple occasions.
