The company  hopes to increase its presence with 10-12 additional restaurants in Delaware in  coming years, according to a release

New Castle franchisee Hetal Christian worked at Checkers part time while studying software engineering in college. After  working in the industry and eventually owning a hotel , she is now returning with her husband Nalesh as n a franchisee.

Wilmington franchisee Amrish Patel has a background in finance and owns convenience stores in the area. He feels that Checkers & Rally’s is the perfect addition to his portfolio and focused on finding the perfect real estate for his upcoming location.

In addition to Christian and Patel, Checkers & Rally’s is seeking qualified franchise partners throughout Delaware. Director of franchise development John Palumbo said that Delaware is a great fit for Checkers due to the demographics and income metrics of the area and the success of the brand’s current Wilmington location, which  has operated for a number of years.

“Checkers has always been about value,” Palumbo said. “Delaware is home to many value-conscious people, and we offer the best tasting food for the best price. Plus, Checkers is one of the best deals in the QSR segment based on rankings and provides franchisees with an unmatched return on investment relative to other burger brands with limited growth potential.”
