The Bancorp, Inc. names top executives

The Bancorp, Inc. has retained and appointed financial services leaders Hugh McFadden as Chief Operating Officer of the Company and the Bank, pending regulatory approval, and John Leto to the new role of Chief Administrative Officer of the Company and the Bank. Both will report to Damian Kozlowski, CEO and President. Reporting to McFadden, Pawneet Abramowski, with The Bancorp since 2014, has been promoted to Chief Compliance Officer of the Company and the Bank, pending regulatory approval.

McFadden will have the oversight of Loan Operations, Retail Operations, Information Technology, and all Credit, Compliance, and Risk Management functions. McFadden served as a Consultant for Promontory Financial Group on regulatory compliance issues.

Past roles include Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer of Modern Bank, N.A., where he played a leading role in regulatory remediation efforts, the development of a compliance risk management program, and the introduction of an enterprise risk management system. McFadden also served in various capacities within The Citigroup Private Bank, including as Chief Operating Officer for both the Americas and Europe divisions. Prior to that, he held various executive roles with Bankers Trust Company. He began his career with the U.S. Treasury Department and the Export Import Bank of the U.S.

Leto will oversee Operations Services, Marketing, Public Relations and Investor Relations, as well as Human Resources, Organization Development, and all Sales Effectiveness and Practice Management programs.

Previously, Leto served as Senior Vice President and Head of National Sales of Wealth Management at TD Bank where he managed the sales expansion strategy throughout the U.S. footprint. Before joining TD Wealth, Leto was President and Chief Executive Officer of Standard Chartered Americas Private Bank and Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of StanChart Securities International.

As part of Standard Chartered’s U.S. Executive Committee he was responsible for all Wealth Management businesses within the U.S. and Latin America. He also held several senior management roles at Citigroup, where he served as The Citigroup Private Bank’s Chief Administrative Officer with responsibility for the U.S., Latin America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

As Chief Compliance Officer, Abramowski will assume a wide range of compliance duties, including overseeing The Bancorp’s Consumer Compliance Risk Management Program in addition to her current oversight of Financial Crimes Risk Management activity. Prior to joining The Bancorp in 2014, Abramowski served as the Director of Anti-Money Laundering Compliance at CIT, where she also provided oversight and guidance for the execution of a global AML Risk Framework and other compliance-related initiatives. Prior to CIT, she was Senior AML Compliance Officer at RBC Capital Markets, and Global Director – AML Group at Morgan Stanley. She has also worked as an Intelligence Officer for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, an Investigator for the New York State Office of the Attorney General, and a Fraud Investigator for the New York City Human Resources Administration.

Ashland announces leaders

Ashland Inc.  announced a series of leadership changes for the Wilmington-based Specialties business.

Suzanne B. Rowland has joined Ashland as group vice president, Industrial Specialties with overall responsibility for the coatings, adhesives and other industrial end markets.

Rowland brings significant experience in complex industrial and materials businesses to this role driving profitable growth, developing talent, and aligning and strengthening teams. Most recently she held global leadership positions at Tyco in the highly regulated fire protection products industry. While at Rohm and Haas, she held senior executive positions including vice president of Global Adhesives & Sealants, vice president of Coatings North America, and vice president of Procurement & Logistics. Rowland gained valuable experience working at privately held company, J.M. Huber, as the leader of strategy, mergers and acquisitions. Earlier in her career she held roles as plant manager, financial controller and in sales and marketing.

Rowland holds a master’s of science (MS) degree from the London Business School and a bachelor’s of science (BS) in chemical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for LB Foster Co.  as the Chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee and is a founding co-chair of Women Corporate Directors Philadelphia chapter. She is also on the Board of Overseers for the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering.

Vito Consiglio joins Ashland Inc. as vice president, Personal and Home Care. Consiglio brings more than 28 years of significant experience in global and Fortune 500 companies servicing a variety of specialty markets, including a 22-year focus on ingredients and materials. Prior to joining Ashland, he served as vice president, Transportation Markets, Carpenter Technology Corporation  Previously he worked for Doughty Hanson and Co. as vice president, commercial operations, for Norit Activated Carbon. His experience also includes various leadership positions with Henkel, Morton International, Rohm and Haas and Danaher Corporation.

Consiglio is experienced delivering double-digit operating profit and building and developing businesses across regions and functions collaboratively to achieve business and customer goals. He brings extensive experience in marketing and finance to this role and his career-long focus on commercial excellence brings proven skills to drive innovation from ideation to premium customer sales. His strong analytical skills will enable Ashland to rapidly assess issues and opportunities and countermeasure effectively.

Consiglio is trained and certified in world-class problem resolution methodologies in various industries. He holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) in Finance and General Management from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in physiology and chemistry from Michigan State University.

David Neuberger, who previously served as vice president and general manager, North America Industrial Specialties for Ashland, has been named vice president Pharmaceutical, Nutrition and Agriculture. He previously served in the Pharmaceutical business and as director of investor relations for Ashland. During his tenure at Hercules he was director, Corporate Development, and also held a variety of roles in research and development, operations, marketing and finance while at WR Grace. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Wharton where he was named a Palmer Scholar.

Neuberger also co-leads a Simplification engagement team for Ashland. In this role he has demonstrated the ability to drive collaboration across functions while instilling a sense of urgency to deliver rapid results. These skills are expected to help drive higher levels of collaboration, innovation and cross-company teamwork in support of profitable growth.

436th Airlift Wing has change of command

The 436th Airlift Wing held a Change of Command ceremony on Dover Air Force Base, Del. Col. Michael Grismer relinquished command to Col. Ethan Griffin in a ceremony officiated by Brig. Gen. Patrick Mordente, 18th Air Force vice commander.

Prior to this new assignment, Griffin was the 62nd Airlift Wing vice commander, at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington.

Griffin graduated as a ROTC Distinguished Graduate from the University of Virginia in 1994. He has commanded at the squadron- level, both in-garrison and deployed, served on wing and Headquarters Air Force staffs, and performed instructor and evaluator duties in the C-17. He is also a graduate of Squadron Officer School, Air Command and Staff College, the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and earned a Master of Arts in Organizational Management from the George Washington University in 2001. He is a command pilot with more than 3,300 flying hours.

Physicians joins Nanticoke

Dr. William Doran has joined the  Nanticoke Health Pavilion.

Doran received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedics at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia.  He is board eligible in Orthopedics and his professional memberships include the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association, and the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
