Wilmington woman arrested in connection with Wawa coffee theft and refund scheme

A Wilmington woman has been arrested in connection with stealing about $3,000 in bagged coffee from Wawa stores in Delaware New Jersey and Maryland.

West Goshen Township Police identified the woman as Rebecca L. Julian, 48. Julian was released and charges are pending, police reported in a release.

According to police, Wawa estimated that 40 to 50 thefts took place throughout the region.

West Goshen Police released surveillance photos of the suspect that helped lead to the suspect.

The suspect would walk into the a store, take a number of bags of coffee from the coffee island and drive a short distance, return the coffee and receive a cash refund.

In thefts that occurred in March and April showed a woman wearing “scrubs” suggesting she was a traveli;ng health care worker. Two different vehicles were used.
