The Rehoboth Beach Film Society has opened the Cinema Arts Theater at Dartmouth Plaza, Lewes. The shopping center is off Route 1 near the Lewes Wawa.
The new venue will allow expanded offerings of year-round programming, as well as a secure venue for the Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival this year.
The society lost the long-time home of the festival at a multiplex cinema in the Lewes area a couple of years ago.
The professionally designed 108 seats main theater features tiered seating, as well as a multi-purpose/screening room for smaller audiences and events.
Cinema Art Theater heled an opening last weekend and presented films for the first Rehoboth Beach Jewish Film Festival.
