After what was described as “years of hard work”  SVN | Miller Commercial Real Estate Senior Advisors John McClellan, CCIM, Henry Hanna, CCIM, SIOR and Tom Knopp announced the sale of the former Georgia Pacific Property near the State  Fairgrounds.

The plant closed in 2013, and the company selected the SVN | Miller Advisors to represent their listing.

Located at 17507 South Du Pont Highway in Harrington, DE, the 196,000 square foot property was operated for many years as Colorbox, a printing facility for food grade packaging. The facility was shuttered in late 2013 as part of a plant consolidation by the parent company.

It was recently purchased by Dover-based FMH Properties, LLC for $1,426,000.

No plans for the site were disclosed, according to SVN | Miller.

Larry Thompson of R&R Commercial Realty in Dover, DE represented the buyer.

“When properties of this size finally begin to move, it’s a sign of growing confidence in the strength of the regional economy,” said John McClellan.
