SBDC-logoThe Delaware Small Business Development Center stands ready to assist businesses affected by Winter Storm Jonas.

“We know that our small businesses are in the process of assessing their damage, primarily caused by high winds and flooding,” said Bill Pfaff, Director of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) in Georgetown.  “We want to remind those businesses that we are here and offer free services that could assist them to get back up and running.”  Pfaff said storms such as Jonas might also prompt entrepreneurs to start businesses, such as clean-up or construction.

“Whether you’ve been in business two years or 20, if  your business has been impacted by Jonas, we may be able to assist with training such as marketing or writing a business plan, as well as help businesses to get prepared for a loan to cover the cost of construction repairs or equipment  replacement, Pfaff said.

In addition, through the SBDC’s Business Resiliency Program, information is available, such a free business continuity workbook, on how to prepare your business for the next disaster, whether it be storm damage, fire, flooding or supply chain interruption.
