Women entrepreneurs finish one, two, three in Start Up Battle

Finalists in pitch competition.

Three members  of the Remarkable Entrepreneurs Community,  Kiersten Jones, Tanya Whye and Laura Kraman, took home the  top three spots in the Global Start Up Battle  Delaware event held over the weekend.

Jones of  Astra Center for Eating Disorders earned top honors in the Global Start Up Battle. The worldwide event was held in Delaware in November.

Runners up were Whye of  Mattress Movers (recycling), and Kraman, of  Evolve365 (personal training program).

Whye earlier won pitch competition sponsored by Great Dames Remarkable Entrepreneurs Community for her business which specializes in recycling mattress materials. Click here for the story.

Winning the   pitch  competition resulted in Whye getting more than $25,000 in cash and services.

The pitch competition was organized by the  Great Dames  and its Remarkable Entrepreneurs Community. Great Dames is  a group that works to empower women in business and other areas.
