Delaware Physicians Care, an Aetna Medicaid plan, has been selected as one of the top Medicaid Plans among hundreds in the nation by the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) in its Medicaid Health Insurance Plan Rankings 2014-2015. The ranking is based on clinical quality, member satisfaction and NCQA accreditation scores.
Delaware Physicians Care ranked 27th, in the top 10 percent of the plans evaluated, and improved its position from last year when it was ranked 34th. NCQA evaluated more than 270 Medicaid health plans and ranked 136 of those based on clinical performance, member satisfaction and NCQA Accreditation.
NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality. NCQA accredits and certifies a wide range of health care organizations. Delaware Physicians Care has more than 137,000 Medicaid, long-term care and dual-eligible members. (Dual eligible members receive both Medicaid and Medicare.)
