cai-easter-seals-volleyballThe CAI / Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge will take place on March 21-23, at the Delaware Orthopaedic Sportsplex at 326 Ruthar Drive near Newark (across from UPS).

Everyone is welcome to form a team for the family-friendly event. Teams consist of 6 to 10 players who play teams of similar ability in a 90-minute rotation. Prizes will be awarded to the top individuals and teams raising the most dollars to benefit children and adults with disabilities served by Easter Seals in the local region. For information on forming a team, contact Laura Becker at 302-324-4444×2065 or lbecker@esdel.org.

The opening ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m., Saturday, March 22 and will feature the top elected leaders of the state, who will then hit the court for the 9th Annual “Democrats vs. Republicans” volleyball match. The Democrats are looking to take back the trophy from the Republicans this year in this annual contest to raise awareness and dollars for Easter Seals.

This year’s Volleyball Ambassador, Kailyn, from Dover, receives Early Intervention services from Easter Seals. Kailyn and her family are among the more than 25,000 people served by Easter Seals Delaware and Maryland’s Eastern Shore each year.

Registration is open for the Volleyball Challenge. Visit www.volleyballchallenge.com to register a team, volunteer or donate to the event. Like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/VolleyballChallenge) and follow on Twitter @esdelvb.
