Death-noticeGeorge F. Snyder, 87, of Lewes, formerly of Chadds Ford, Pa., passed away Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, with his loving wife and daughters by his side.

He was born Jan. 30, 1926, in Glenn Mills, Pa., son of the late G. Francis and Ernestine Estevez Snyder.Mr. Snyder honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy before going on to form his own construction company.

He grew his company to become one of the most highly respected companies in the building and real estate development industry, working on several high level projects including: Concord Plaza, Barley Mill Plaza and the Brandywine River Museum to name a few.
