Revenues for the Hollywood Casino Perryville are down sharply from a year ago.
Figures from the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency for April showed combined statewide revenue totaled $58.9 million.
Hollywood Casino, which is off I-95 west of Newark, generated $8.4 million from both slot machines and table games in April.
In a year-to-year comparison, Hollywood’s April revenue decreased by $35.8 percent from April 2012. Hollywood Casino Perryville operates 1,138 machines and 20 12 banking and eight non-banking table games. The facility debuted its table games on March 6.
Hollywood Casino has been hit by the opening of the Maryland Live Casino, which now grosses more than all three Delaware casinos combined. In addition tolls across the Susquehanna to Cecil County have risen sharply.
The Casino at Ocean Downs generated nearly $4 million April. The Casino at Ocean Downs’ April 2013 revenue increased by $136,789.10 or 3.57% from April 2012.
Maryland Live Casino generated $46.6 million from both slot machines and table games in April. Maryland Live opened in June 2012.
