Steel, mining and vanadium business EVRAZ signed an agreement to sell its EvrazTrans rail freight subsidiary to NefteTransService on November 22.

The transaction is worth about  $300 million and is subject to regulatory approval is expected to close by the end of the year.The deal includes assets worth $243 million, including 4 114 cars  with an average age of 5 and one-half years.

EVRAZ will retain and continue to operate hopper  cars previously  owned by EvrazTrans. Evraz owns the Claymont Steel mini mill in Delaware.
