A company that got its start in Delaware opened its second location in the Tucson, Ariz. area and its 84th nationwide.

The Total Wine & More store took space in a former  Border’s books in the city. Inside Tucson Business noted that the store is also the first with a next generation focus that includes greater use of technology. That includes  WiFi access and iPads in the tasting bar.

The company was founded in Delaware by David and Robert Trone in the early 1990s and according to the company is the largest independent wine retailer in the nation. The company is based in Potomac, Md.

Total wine now operates from coast to coast after expanding  from Delaware into states with fewer restrictions on the number of stores a company can operate. Delaware limited  the number of stores to two, partly in response to fears about the expansion of  Total Wine by smaller operators.
