Newark Police are investigating a shooting that left a woman in critical condition.
The incident was reported on Friday, Sept. 28th, at a home in the 200 block of Witherspoon Lane.
At around 9:30 p.m. officers found the victim in the living room with a single gunshot wound to the face. The victim was treated by New Castle County Paramedics and transported to an area hospital where she is listed in critical condition.
An argument between the victim and a male was hear before the shooting and it is believed that the suspect is known by the victim.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information was released.
