The Newark Film Festival has been canceled.
The following was posted on the festival’s Facebook Page: “Due to unforeseen circumstances we’ve made the tough decision to cancel the Film Festival this year. We were looking forward to it, and we regret having to cancel,”
Barry Schlecker, organizer and founder of the event , told the Newark Post a lack of corporate support for the event led to the decision to discontinue the September event.
