A New Castle man, accused of two business robberies, is in custody, after jumping from a roof of a home near Elkton, Md.

Robert, L. Figgs, 31, was apprehended after Cecil County Sheriff’s deputies  attempted to take him into custody.

Deputies reported Figgs jumped from the second story of a home on Blue Ball Lane, resulting in injuries  that led him to be taken to Christiana Hospital.

He was treated,  released and  arrested by Delaware State Police in connection with robberies at The Dog House and McDonald’s on North DuPont Highway on Friday night.

In the McDonald’s robbery, he is accused of using a knife to cut a patron, who was attempting to stop him outside the restaurant. The victim did not seek treatment.

Figgs is being  held on $72,000 secured bail.
